drilling and tapping

Drilling and Tapping operations can be performed using electrically powered, magnetically based drills, air-powered drills with or without stands. We also use hydraulically powered machines.

Holes from the smallest up to 104mm diameter by 1040mm length have been successfully drilled. Back spot facing operations can be performed following drilling using adaptations of the same equipment.

Following drilling, holes can be tapped either by hand with the aid of the machine for alignment purposes, or mechanically using the machine. Special jigs and templates to ensure accurate positioning and/or alignment can be pre-manufactured to ensure the desire end-result is achieved

Reekie Machining use electrical, air or hydraulically powered drills. Our drills are hand-portable up to 2" diameter capacity. Drills can ultimately drill up to 110mm diameter. All our drills can be used to drive hole saws and rotabroach type cutters to cut holes, remove studs or to trepan into pipes.
